One year ago, Kendal died of an allergic reaction.  However, her death was no accident.  The police quickly discovered that she had been intentionally exposed to a substance she was known to be allergic to, and had done so when she was far from help.  With help, from a single witness, the police were able to figure out how she'd been murdered, but they never could figure out who had done it.

The problem wasn't about making a list of suspects.  Instead, it was that the list was simply far too long.  Kendal had made a lot of enemies, and there weren't many people who were sad to learn what had happened to her...
